Because it’s dramatic, stylish and provides a grounding effect for your interior. Ladies, just like your mascara enhances your eyelashes, black enhances the colors and shapes surrounding it.

How to incorporate black artwork into your home

When it comes to interior decorating the color black has received a bad rap. People tend to think that decorating with black is dark and depressing. Black has the power to add sophistication to your space.

Black can be used in any of your rooms, in any style. Whether you have a sleek and modern interior or a patterned rug. Black can be feminine, fun, masculine, or romantic. It all depends on how you use it.

Use black as an accent to tie pieces in your space together. Though black, as a neutral can balance out bright colors like orange and teal. Black amps up the drama more than beige, gray, and, white. Pair with metallic accents and this will be a space that you can’t wait to get to in the morning.

I love to decorate with black. My bedroom is currently black, grey, a small bit of white and yellow. The combination is so refreshing! The black accents each of those colors very well.

This looks great. I like dark colors but African Art is the best way. I like to decorate my home culturally

Thanks, Crystal! Afrocentric works are an excellent way to decorate. But the artist whose works are in the article is a classically trained avant-garde artist.

Black is such a beautiful color! I just bought new bedroom furniture that’s all black…when styled appropriately it can be amazing, but it can also be overwhelming sometimes.
