The idea being that some company in NYC had devised a way to embed a digital coding into an image but soon disappeared from the landscape.

The Avant-Garde had been re-emerging. In 2009 I had been in talks with Brightsign whom was chosen by artist Robert Wilson and Dissident Technologies to place his contemporary video portraits of Lady Gaga in the Louvre.

If one follows along with my website archives I was looking for a solution to authenticate the asset which could be any type of creation, video, pictorial, audio or physical. The solution would be elusive not having the technical cooperation of Robert Wilson or the deep pockets of any benefactors.

2015 working with disrupters in the livestreaming space I was being introduced to blockchain technology. All the people I met here had no formal art training as most were from the coding and technology school.

I started to pose the question what can blockchain technology do for digital artist not knowing that some decentralized thinkers were already solving that coding problem.

I say all of this as we enter mARTch madness were I should be able to place the first commissioned blockchain authenticated work in public display. Without realizing the historical significance coders and blockchain artists have finally realized their creative potential on the direction that Avant-garde artists like myself have set forth.
