Ok so we were trying to get your attention, but that is just what this Pirate Black Caesar did today in pioneering a new streaming broadcast method on the Livestream (1) platform to BYOD (2) on our #CPirateTV network.
CPirateTV has been successfully operating in stealth mode for 2 years come March 23rd our anniversary. Now it’s not for want of being in stealth mode, but Ikohaus Music Group’s #CPirateTV is so edgy that among freedom of speech principle’s, it’s truly Avante-garde in it’s approach to internet streaming.
Probably you have heard of “transmedia (3)” we’ve used this practice by previously embedding our stream in facebook and for a while it even opened up right from a HootSuite link. But more than that we started using facebook and have now taken expressly to twitter to communicate across platform with our audience and engage them in the music videos and conversations.
Where is this practice of Transmedia headed?
In our exploratory uses of engaging our music twitter followers, we’ve pissed off a lot of our blogging followers, that have determined, “this outrageous music is not for me!” But then, that is our whole purpose, to cross pollinate networks and expose our followers to different points of views, tastes, likes and proclivities, thereby opening up our reach. In this manor we’ve found and formed a relationship with Kenyan electronic dance music artists and helped get their work on iTunes.
The UK is an entirely different story. There they do an original form of real hip hop, but have no support or live airplay of their music so in steps CPirateTV, with feeds coming from YouTube, twitter followers and artists all sending in links for play on the network. Better yet is a form we pioneered and concept we can take credit for of broadcasting directly to PC’s, laptops, iPads, tablets, cellphones and all types of mobile devices. Correct we’ve totally bypassed traditional broadcast radio, TV and streaming, By going live with our show our reach becomes extended into all cross platform devices.
The UK Hip Hop community was ecstatic, their previously overlooked music genre had now overshadowed the traditional means and suddenly had a World Wide presence.
Now what we’re trying to do is raise funds through Indiegogo to get the commercials off from our cdn provider and make it possible for us to have unlimited uploads and storage of content. Our concept is so 21st century that we have big issues finding any sponsors, but we’re undaunted knowing we’re already there where a lot of companies like MTV and BET wish they were and will probably try to copy our concept. But just knowing we were first and the impact we’re making on the people from the UK, Kenya and the US is good enough for us as we continue in stealth mode.
